Eli has many different interests. He loves balls, cars, airplanes, Elmo, Ernie, Cookie Monster, dinosaurs, animals, but most of all he loves sea creatures, especially fish. He is obsessed with them. I read that it is normal for his age group to become attached to certain things, but I am just amazed with his attention span; he never gets board of fish. He is just super excited about fish from the minute he wakes up until he goes to bed. He has a few fish toys that he pretends to swim around in the air. He loves to watch fish and most of all the loves his "Fishy Gook" Before we got the "Fishy Gook" he would only look at one page of his animal book, the fish page. Now he only looks at his "Fishy Gook". For a fish enthusiast like Eli it is the perfect book. According to the editor it "Literally has hundreds of different tropical and freshwater fish that are shown in vivid color photos and described for aquarium hobbyists. These pocket-sized handbooks are handsome and practical quick-reference sources for pet owners, pet fanciers, obsessed toddlers, and aquarium and terrarium hobbyists." We look at the book daily and I read him the descriptions of all the different fish. From Eli's fascination I've learned a lot about fish.
Kern County Fair
Today we went to the Kern County Fair. Eli loved looking at the animals and the big balloons.

I thought Kaya was going to be a grumpy baby but recently she has grown out of being our little "Grumpy Pants" to a very happy little "Baby Kai" (Eli's nickname for his sister.)

I was experimenting with my hair and we took a picture. I thought it was a cute picture of Mommy and baby but I'm still not sure about my hair.
Laura's Wedding

Paul's sister Laura got married on Saturday at the LA Temple. It was a beautiful day.

This picture is a rare picture of Eli smiling that day. Normally he is very smiley but at Laura's wedding he was not happy most of the day. In most of the pictures he is crying or has a grumpy face. The terrible two's are upon us.

One of the only other times Eli was happy. He ended up soaked and shirtless by the end of Laura's reception.
LA Zoo
On Friday we went to the LA Zoo. Eli had a really fun time. He kept pointing at all the animals and naming them. It was a really good time to go because he is really into animals.
Kaya slept the entire time.
Eli's favorite was the Giraffe exhibit. We could barely drag him away. He wouldn't go in the stoller, he walked around the entire Zoo.
